A good quality case with fluted side columns and tapered decorated design to the case top, sides and base. A lever platfrom escapement. An 8-day movement striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. Push Button repeating. Circa 1895.

A good quality earlier example French brass cased carriage clock. A one piece case with a solid back door. An enamel dial signed 'M & J Woog, Paris'. Fine blued steel hands. An 8-day duration movement striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell with push button repeating through the full size glass top panel. Complete with the original travelling box. Circa 1845.
M & J Woog worked in Boulevard de Sebastopol in 1870.
