A fine quality 18K gold half-quarter repeater pocket watch. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. A rare feature of an 'up down' power reserve marker, often seen on marine chronometers and other purpose built watches. An 18K gold case with London hallmarks for 1872. An exceptional quality fusee mechanism with a rare half-quarter repeat feature. When the slide lever is activated, the watch will strike for the hour, each quarter and if the time is 7 1/2 minutes past the last quarter this will be struck with an extra gong.

A Victorian 18k gold mid size pocket watch in the original box. A velvet lined case and marked to the outside 'Arnold & Co. 84 Strand (London). A gilt dial with matted centre and fine 'moon' blued steel hands. An engine turned case back with cartouche to the centre. Engraved to the case inner 'Examined by Arnold & Chas Frodsham 84 Strand'. A keywind mechanism.Signed to the mechanism 'Milleret Geneve'. Circa 1850.
Charles Frodsham was a distinguished watch and clock maker and the trading partnership name with Arnold was from 1843-1858. A rare find with the original box.

A rare Zenith pocket watch with alarm function. A gun metal case with gilt finish to the bezel and to the hinges. This model was marketed to be used as a portable desk clock, the hinged back is designed to act as an integral stand. A rare black dial with (now discoloured) lume Arabic markers. An excellent quality mechanism by Zenith, featuring an alarm function and dual winding setting. Circa 1910. The combination of the sturdy material of gunmetal and the black dial, makes this watch remarkably similar to those supplied to the military by Zenith and Birch & Gaydon.
