A George 5th period fusee dial wall clock. A mahogany case with a cast brass bezel surround. A 12" painted dial signed 'GvR' and crown markings with blued steel hands. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Engraved to the backplate SM & Co 1935 GVR' Circa 1935.
Stockall, Marples & Co worked at Clerkenwell in the 20th century and supplied clocks to the Military, Offices and Railways. With this dial mark it would have been used in a public place such as a post office or Government workplace.Height/Width 14 1/2" / 37 cms Depth 5 1/2 " / 15 cms.
