 An early Victorian fusee convex drop dial wall clock. A 12" convex painted dial signed 'SANDERS LEICESTER' with blued steel hands. A quality flame mahogany case with a cast brass bezel surround and convex glass. The original fan side carvings to the base with a brass edging and inlays. An 8-day duration fusee mechanism with a rarer feature of passing strike on a bell. Circa 1845.

Sanders of Leicester is recorded in Loomes 'Clockmakers and Watchmakers of The World' book as working circa 1849.
