 A Victorian Midlands area drop dial fusee wall clock. A mahogany case with lovely choice grain to the wood and the original side carvings. A carved glazed pendulum aperture. A brass bezel surround to the dial. A 12" painted dial signed ' W COADY, HANLEY' with blued steel hands. An 8-day duration fusee mechanism. Circa 1885.


William Coady of Hanley is recorded in McKenna's' 'Clockmakers and Watchmakers of Central England' book as working in Lichfield Street and Totine Square around 1887.
