An elegant French Portico clock. Choice flame mahogany veneers with gilded case mounts. Gilded column capitals with an engine turned finish. A stepped plinth standing on bun feet. A gilt dial with Roman numerals and a floral dial centre with blued steel hands. A decorative pendulum with gridiron compensating.
An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1850.
