An English Victorian fusee dial wall clock. A well proportioned mahogany case with a cast brass bezel surround. A 12" painted dial with blued steel hands and signed 'S & J Solomon, Bristol'. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Circa 1860.
S & J Solomon of Bristol worked at 21.Temple Street as listed in A J Moores 'The Clockmakers of Bristol' book as working from 1847 to 1867.Width 14 1/2" / 37 cms Depth 6 " / 16 cms
