Ulysee Nardon Ships Chronometer

A very high quality ships marine chronometer by noted makers Ulysee Nardin. Numbered in red to the dial 6055 and the mechanism dating it to the end of WW 11. The chain fusee movement has frost gilt plates, Harrison's maintaining power, a spring detent escapement with freesprung bi-metallic balance and helical palladium hairspring.
The signed and numbered silvered 4-inch Roman dial has steel hands, power reserve indication and subsidiary seconds dial.
Complete with the original winding key.
The chronometer is cased in a brass engine-turned screw-down bezel and gimbals, within a mahogany box with brass edging and a Ulysse Nardin name plate. An original key and lock. This has come direct from a private collection and is in fine original condition.
